Family Flexible Assistance Program Funding Announcement East Missouri Autism Project

The East Missouri Autism Project (EMAP) Family Flexible Assistance Program (FFAP) provides assistance to individuals enrolled with the Division of Developmental Disabilities, who have a diagnosis of autism, and reside in the EMAP region. Note: Individuals who are enrolled in a Medicaid Waiver are not eligible to receive FY26 EMAP FFAP funding.
The FY26 FFAP application period has closed. The next funding opportunity will be in July 2026.
Priority Status: Individuals who did not receive Autism Project funding in FY25 will receive priority status when applying for FY26 EMAP FFAP awards.
All applications received must be reviewed to ensure eligibility requirements have been met. Funds will be awarded to applicants who qualify for priority status as stated above. After all applicants who qualify for priority status have been identified, remaining funding will be awarded to all other eligible applicants using a random selection process. The OAS team is working as quickly as possible to expedite this process. You will receive information via email regarding your award status in the coming months. Details regarding this process can be found in the Program Guidelines linked below.
Total FY26 EMAP Allotment: $1,918,852
FY26 Award Amount: $1,800
Applications Received: 2187
Total FY26 Award slots: 1066
As a reminder, the submission of an application does not guarantee funding.
