Visiting Hours

Welcome, visitor, to the Center for Behavioral Medicine. We want to take a moment to orient you to our hospital.

Our visiting hours are Monday, Wednesday, and Sunday, between the hours of 1:00  p.m. and 2:30 p.m.

All visits must be scheduled in advance.

We know that the individual you are here to visit may have asked you to bring items to him/her. Center for Behavioral Medicine wants our patients to be comfortable, but also as safe as possible.

**For safety and treatment purposed, we generally do not allow property to be brought to the patient, particularly:

Reading materials that are explicit or pornographic; Cigarettes, lighters, matches, weapons (or materials which could be used as weapons), spiral notebooks, tape recorders, audio/video tapes, cameras, TVs, electrical appliances, aerosol cans, glass containers, sharp/pointed objects, short-shorts, cut-out tank tops, heavy shoes/boots.

Please contact the social worker to pre-approve any possessions you are bringing for the patient's use. We do not allow food or drink during visits.

Medicines:

If the person you are visiting has asked you to bring in medicines, please coordinate this with his/her Doctor or Nurse. This is a treatment decision to be made, and the patient will not be allowed to keep them in his/her possession.

Children:

Individuals must be 18 years or older to visit on the units. Our Security staff cannot watch younger children in the lobby. Please do not bring younger children to the facility, for their safety.

In certain cases, individuals under the age of 18 may be allowed to visit off the unit accompanied by staff. This will require prior discussion with the treatment team and approval from the Chief Operating Officer.
