East Missouri Autism Project

The East Missouri Autism Project (EMAP) utilizes the Family Flexible Assistance Program (FFAP) and serves individuals in 3 counties in the St. Louis area.  Individuals are served through the St. Louis County and the St. Louis Tri-County regional offices.

The FFAP streamlines operations to provide easier access to services and supports to more individuals with autism and their families. The FFAP also allows families and individuals choice and flexibility in accessing resources, supports, and services.

The annual amount allocated to families is based on recommendations from the East Parent Advisory Council and available funding.

In order to be eligible for Autism Project services, individuals must be eligible to receive services from the Division of Developmental Disabilities and have a diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder.  The Division requires documentation of a formal diagnosis for verification during the intake process.
