Southeast Missouri Mental Health Center is located on the western edge of Farmington, a city of tradition and progress with a growing population of approximately 18,000, situated about 70 miles south of St. Louis. The facility provides inpatient mental health services all counties in Missouri, and works hand-in-hand with its six administrative agent centers, which administer follow-up services for discharged clients in the local community.

Southeast Missouri Mental Health Center is accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations and is certified by Medicare and Medicaid. It operates under the auspices of the Missouri Department of Mental Health and does not deny employment or services because of race, sex, creed, marital status, national origin, disability or age of applicants or employees.

Directions:

From St. Louis, take Interstate 55 South to the US-67 S exit (exit number 174B) toward Farmington.

Take US-67 for 35.2 miles to Highway 221 / W exit ramp (the next exit past the Maple Street exit). Turn left at top of ramp and you will be on Highway W / Columbia Street.

The entrance to the mental health center is approximately one mile on the right.

From Cape Girardeau, take Interstate 55 North to the Ste. Genevieve (Highway 32) exit. Turn left at top of ramp, and travel west on Hwy. 32 for approximately 20 miles. At the red light in Farmington, continue straight and follow Highway W signs through the city (follow highway signs closely, as the route is not straight due to one-way streets). The mental health center will be on the left at the edge of town.
